Tyne and Wear Heritage Way – Wylam to Thornley Woods

For a while we’ve been noticing way markers for the Tyne and Wear Heritage Way on quite a few walks and finally decided to look it up and see if it was worth doing.
After some research we found the website. The Heritage Way is an 80 mile walk split into 9 sections, the website has loads of useful information like how to get to the start and from the end of each section by public transport to the centre of Newcastle which is really helpful. We decided that we’d like to complete the whole walk this year, just doing a section at a time.
